Dolce and Gabbana Sunglasses – Add Some Vibrancy to your Look!
Dolce & Gabbana Sunglasses are the one accessory that you will always feel great wearing and never fail to look on trend. When you think of the Dolce and Gabbana the images that are associated with the brand include high fashion, individuality and vibrancy. The collection of Dolce and Gabbana sunglasses are just one part of the collection and with their exceptional quality, superb designs and luxurious looks, they are the perfect way to shield your eyes in style for the forthcoming seasons and beyond.
Oversized sunglasses are a continuous sunglass fashion trend and there are many oversized styles with the Dolce and Gabbana collection. From classic to contemporary and retro or sporty, there is certainly something for every style preference. Some of the new designs for 2010 are very retro inspired with large square shaped lenses with a flat top frame section and these are available in an array of colours including brown, black, red and white for a contemporary update. Other retro oversized styles are sporty inspired and with cool colours including pink and white, these really are statement styles that are bang on trend. Classic oversized Dolce and Gabbana sunglasses are a popular favourite and with features such as vibrant patterned thick frames or wavy shaped arms, you can instantly recognise these shades to the brand.
Oversized sunglasses in addition to looking incredibly glamorous and trendy are also one of the most effective ways to protect your eyes from the sun’s rays. An oversize design provides excellent coverage and ensures that the top half of your face is shielded. Dolce and Gabbana sunglasses therefore prove that you can effectively combine full eye protection with superb style!
In addition to oversized styles, the Dolce and Gabbana sunglasses collection features many other styles which look equally great on men and women. These include designs such as aviators, visor styles, classic frames and wraparounds for a sportier and casual look. Again, the brand injects its own unique edge to the designs with patterns, colours and bold ways of presenting the logo which is often positioned on the arm hinge. Gold and silver logos are prominent features as well as the logo being embellished in diamante stones for the added bling factor!
Dolce & Gabbana aside from its products is also renowned for its advertising campaigns and the latest star to be featured is the iconic pop star and actress Madonna. The campaign shows a series of black and white photos that feature Madonna in the kitchen and taking on a stereotypical role of a 50’s style housewife carrying out tasks such washing the dishes, preparing lettuce, and eating a bowl of pasta. Madonna is a fan of the brand and the designers as individuals and they felt she was the perfect person to be representing the latest collection.
Dolce and Gabbana sunglasses are a fantastic way of achieving that high end designer style with a fun and vibrant edge. They are always regarded as ‘in fashion’ because the brand is one that is always seen on the catwalks during Fashion Week and successfully retains its own unique style.
The History of Dolce & Gabbana
By Jamie Simpson
Dolce & Gabbana is a company started by two Italian designers, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana. Little did they know that they would go on to develop the global brand of D&G watches, clothes, sunglasses and more. The couple opened their first D & G Studio in 1982 in Milan, Italy. The studio struggled until the two designers decided to go to the Milano Colleziono Fashion show in October of 1985. The designers were seen as having potential and as rising new designers. With that encouragement, the pair worked on their first collection and released it one year later and called it "real woman".
Although they are still considered as being young to the fashion industry, the designers have made a fortune with their fashion house of Dolce & Gabbana. One of their drawing cards is their high profile clients like Madonna. Dolce and Gabbana designed one of Madonna's wardrobes that she wore on one of her world tours. Madonna is not the only highly visible model for their brilliantly designed clothing. Some of their other clients are Sophia Loren and the Beckhams.
Dolce & Gabbana may be a young fashion house but they are considered one of the most influential and powerful houses in the world of high fashion. From their simple beginnings in 1985 at the Milan fashion show where they showed their homemade designs of intricate patterns and complex fastenings, to the outfitting of some of the world's most famous women, Dolce & Gabbana have seemingly taken control of the world of fashion.
Their 1985 show was inspired by the works of Sophia Loren. They later were inspired by gangster pinstripes and the sexy black suits as well as corset dresses. The pair claims that they became obsessed with emphasizing the female curves when they visited Sicily in 1989. It was then when Dolce & Gabbana clothing was being shown in Tokyo. When Dolce & Gabbana visited New York City, their presence as a premier house of fashion was settled.
Also, in 1989 Dolce & Gabbana signed an agreement with a Japanese group called the Kashiyama Group. They opened their first boutique in Japan in 1989 and also introduced their first men's collection of designer clothes two years later in their Japanese boutique.
D&G watches then followed. In 2000, the designers Dolce & Gabbana joined the highly prestigious Italian watchmakers the Binda Group, and added a touch of high sparkling fashion to the line of watches begun by Innocent Binda in a tiny town near Lake Maggiore in Italy in 1906.
One reason why Madonna and Sophia Loren have picked the clothing designed by Dolce & Gabbana is since they make women look in their own words, "fantastically sexy". Their designs are inspired by historical periods like the feminist era which they re tool into extremely glamorous and very modern clothing.
The D&G brand extends into a variety of fashion departments. Time Centre Online offer a large selection of D&G watches.
